Cablevision Systems Corporation, a leading telecommunications and media company based in Bethpage, NY is seeking to fill the Vice President of Law, Product Management and Compliance position who will work as senior lawyer and “de facto chief privacy officer” at the VP level handling all of their Product group’s contract work, working with some of the company’s most senior executives. Position Overview:
The Vice President of Law, Product Management and Compliance will provide expert legal advice and counsel to Cablevision’s Product Management Department, Subpoena Compliance teams and staff. He or she will also advise and educate other departments as well as outside counsel on data security and privacy issues, statutory and regulatory requirements, and compliance with Company policies and federal, state and local laws, rules and regulations. In addition, the Vice President will identify issues and risks and recommend potential solutions as well as minimize unexpected litigation.
Qualified candidates will have a JD degree and a minimum of ten years working an in-house corporate legal department or other relevant legal experience. The candidate will work effectively as part of a team and is skilled at creating and maintaining inter-departmental relationships. This position requires highly effective management skills, attention to detail, excellent oral and written communication skills and negotiating skills.
