Mintz represents a private real estate investment management company with offices in major cities in the United States and internationally. The company has invested more than $14 billion in real estate transactions in major markets throughout the world valued at more than $50 billion .
The Approach
Mintz represented the company in its acquisition of a multifamily apartment complex in Revere, Massachusetts, which was a different kind of deal for the company. Our work on this transaction included, but was not limited to, negotiation of the purchase and sale agreement, complex title due diligence, zoning review and work to bring the property in compliance with zoning code, and negotiation of entitlement documents with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and City of Revere. We then represented the company as borrower in connection with the financing of this property, including negotiation of loan documents and provision of opinions, as well as hands-on management of title and other lender diligence review.
The Outcome
These transactions closed with preferred terms and under budget, with deal parties who would like to work together in the future.
