Wayne Fueling was previously a division of GE Oil & Gas, but in 2014 the division was sold to Riverstone Holdings. After leaving GE, the company had no IP management structure in place, and no strategic plan for developing and protecting its intellectual property.

Mintz’s team stepped in to help the company develop policies and procedures for identifying potential innovations and managing their growing portfolio. Working with in-house counsel and senior technologists, Mintz helped put into place all of the components of a robust strategic patent development and management program. Lisa Adams developed a proprietary database to house the company’s patent information, and developed a strategic plan and portfolio guide. She has joined Wayne Fueling’s patent strategy committee which meets regularly to set the course for the company’s portfolio.
