Developing Trends in Bet-the-Company Class Actions
Date: September 25, 2019 - September 26, 2019
Time: 9:30PM - 12:00AM
Location: UCLA School of Law
Join us at UCLA Law for a CLE presentation: Developing Trends in Bet-the-Company Class Actions. The presentation will cover class action trends and provide an overview of what to expect from the Plaintiff's bar nationwide.
Based on considerable experience in handling hundreds of class actions over the last few years alone, the speakers have identified comprehensive, informative, and timely trends and will offer practical insights and tactical tips concerning nationwide consumer class actions:
- The United States Supreme Court moved to strengthen arbitration agreements and class action waivers generally
- Courts continued to grapple with the application of personal jurisdiction principles in class actions
- Increased focus on the problems of certifying a class with uninjured class members
- Data breach and data security class actions continuing to rapidly evolve
Enjoy networking with colleagues after the program. Light hors d'oeuvres and beverages will be served.
