Time: 11:30AM - 12:15PM

Location: Greenwich, CT

Miyoko Sato will be speaking on a panel entitled, "Higher Education and ROI", at Smith's High Yield Municipal Bond Conference.

Colleges and Universities are defaulting on their municipal bonds in growing numbers.  Smith’s High Yield Conference will look at the demographic trends and how some institutions are working to make the grade.  What’s more, in 2015, President Obama created the College Scorecard for the U.S. Department of Education to determine which institutions deserved to receive federal funding.  His new transparency and accountability focused on what students earn after attending a four-year institution. Panelists will look at new tools to calculate the Return On Investment for higher education bonds and how the information can help make better restructuring decisions. The discussion will also focus on how structures and collateral packages create or limit options in distressed situations.
