The Supreme Court’s recent decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, which overturned Roe v. Wade, radically altered the legal calculus surrounding women’s reproductive rights. Among many other things, the decision impacts abortion coverage provided under employer-sponsored group health plans (in states where abortion is and remains legal) and abortion-related travel benefits (from jurisdictions in which is the procedure is banned to jurisdictions in which it not.) The panel will discuss the options available to employers as they seek to navigate the post-Dobbs environment, including the design and implementation of travel-related medical benefits.
