Recent Antitrust Developments and Compliance Implications

Joe Miller and Tinny Song will be speaking on a panel titled, "Recent Antitrust Developments and Compliance Implications" hosted by the ACC National Capital Region on Tuesday, July 19. 

The Biden administration is all-in on a “whole-of-government” approach to competition policy. On the heels of a wide-reaching executive order and appointments of Federal Trade Commission (“FTC”) Chair Lina Khan and Department of Justice (“DOJ”) Assistant Attorney General Jonathan Kanter, the government has threatened lawsuits across numerous industries under novel theories of antitrust harm. 

In this program, we will review the current antitrust landscape, the recent actions taken by the FTC and DOJ, and additional developments we anticipate from the agencies going forward, including anticipated effects on non-compete agreements, an increased volume of FTC investigations, and potential FTC rulemaking. We will hear the perspective of in-house counsel about how to navigate a company through these complex and changing issues, with an emphasis on how the changes impact your antitrust compliance program.
