Accomplished Corporate Attorney Louis Mercedes Joins Mintz
Mintz is pleased to announce that accomplished corporate attorney Louis S. Mercedes has joined the firm as a Member based in Boston. Mr. Mercedes advises clients on private equity, mergers and acquisitions, and other complex business transactions.
With more than 15 years of experience in corporate law, Mr. Mercedes has advised on a number of significant transactions in the United States and abroad, including for businesses with operations in Puerto Rico, Brazil, Guatemala, Mexico, and Spain. He represents clients across various industries, including financial services, insurance, health care, technology, communications, and media.

Prior to joining Mintz, Mr. Mercedes was Of Counsel at Jones Day, where he served as Diversity Chair of its Boston Office. He is a board member of United South End Settlements, an organization devoted to improving the lives of low-income individuals, and The Community Builders, an organization devoted to building and sustaining strong communities where people of all incomes can achieve their full potential.
Mintz has added a number of highly regarded attorneys to the firm’s leading practice groups and U.S. offices this summer. Specifically, Deirdre Johnson, Paul Kalish, Suman Chakraborty, Ellen MacDonald Farrell, and Elaine Panagakos recently joined Mintz’s Insurance and Reinsurance Practice, based primarily in the firm’s Washington, D.C.
