Member Jason Halperin and Associates Edmund Daley and Elizabeth Platonova co-authored an article published in the New York Law Journal examining recent tensions between AI development and safety. They review President Biden’s October 30 executive order on AI, examine regulation efforts in the States and the EU, and present key considerations for businesses as they consider how to integrate AI technology.

The authors wrote, “The promise of AI as technology that could affect every aspect of our lives has forced governments around the world to take notice. Whether this interest will generate comprehensive regulation in the near term is yet to be seen, but attempts to lay the groundwork are underway.”
