Mintz Member Jacob Hupart spoke to IFLR on the potential impact the new SEC proposal on climate disclosures could have on litigation. Jacob commented, "The SEC is putting companies in a difficult situation... We are talking about companies that are in the business of making money for their shareholders... While there should be an awareness of environmental issues, asking companies – especially smaller ones – to evaluate how they impact the climate is a challenge... There could be a lot of opinions on how that goes forward.”
