Member Robert Kidwell spoke to Foreign Investment Watch about the Senate's introduction of legislation known as the RESTRICT ACT that would acknowledge the "ongoing threat" presented by foreign adversaries' technology. However, the legislation could have a significant impact on how the U.S. addresses technology risks, CFIUS, the Commerce Department, and more. Robert said, "The RESTRICT Act is full of good intentions, but if not implemented thoughtfully it could unnecessarily complicate the already complicated world of international business."
