Co-Chair of the White Collar Defense and Government Investigations Practice, Eóin Beirne spoke to Law360 regarding the acquittal of Amin Khoury in the "Varsity Blues" trial. Eóin said that the jury's belief that Katherine Khoury was a legitimate recruit was "key" for the defense. He commented, "The jury hearing from her that she did believe she was going to be a tennis player and was being recruited properly, even assuming that her dad's money was playing some role [was crucial]."
