Members Meredith Leary, David Adams, and Associate Sav Arguello co-authored an article in Law360 discussing the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA)’s annual regulatory oversight report for 2024.

The authors wrote, “While it is possible, and perhaps even likely, that FINRA will either amend its existing rules and guidance or issue new ones for the use of AI technology by broker-dealers, FINRA has made it quite clear that even in the absence of such guidelines, member firms are responsible for ensuring that their use of AI accords with all existing regulatory requirements that are not AI-specific.”
