Mintz's Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation Practice Chair Alden Bianchi and Associate Marc Aspis co-authored an article published in Bloomberg Tax's 'Tax Management and Compensation Journal' covering workplace abortion-related travel benefits following the Supreme Court's Dobbs ruling. The authors summarized, "In response to Dobbs, more than a few employers have signaled a willingness to reimburse travel costs under their group health plans for employees who reside in states that bar abortions to states in which the procedure is permitted... Pushback in the form of state laws seeking to deter the reimbursement of abortion-related travel costs is to be anticipated, and it is indeed already in the works".
