In light of the climbing rate of borrowers buckling under the crushing weight of their student loan debt, the Massachusetts Bar Association launched the Student Loan Bankruptcy Assistance Project, aimed at convincing more attorneys to represent borrowers in bankruptcy trying to have their debt wiped on a pro bono basis.
