Jason McCord Joins Mintz as Chief Operating Officer
Boston, MA – Mintz is pleased to announce that Jason L. McCord has joined the firm as Chief Operating Officer effective May 9, 2022. Mr. McCord, formerly the Chief Human Resources & Administrative Officer with Morrison & Foerster LLP, will work closely with firm management to evolve and execute the strategic plan and other growth initiatives.

With nearly 20 years of experience in legal administration, Mr. McCord will be responsible for a broad range of the firm’s operations. He has extensive expertise in strategic planning, talent management, and change management.
Prior to his career in law firm management, Mr. McCord served as the Director of Operations at Dynegy Connect, a telecommunications company, and as an operations manager at Sprint. He earned an MBA in Finance from the University of Colorado and an MS in Legal Administration from the University of Denver.
Mr. McCord steps into the role after the retirement of David Ballinger, who was with Mintz for over 20 years. During Mr. Ballinger’s tenure, the firm has grown from approximately 240 attorneys and two offices to 550+ attorneys and seven offices today. Notably, Mintz recently achieved its seventh consecutive year of record-breaking revenue.
