Karen Lovitch, the leader of Mintz’s Health Law practice, was recently quoted in an article from the Laboratory Economics journal on its PAMA teleconference. During the February 1st teleconference, Karen spoke about the ongoing lawsuit filed against the HHS by the ACLA on the issue of the former’s refusal to enforce the statute on reporting private-payer data, which CMS used to calculate new Medicare clinical lab test rates. She observed that the ACLA may hope to gain Congress’s attention through the suit, as well as seek a future amendment to PAMA on the same subject.
