Lagging Data Center Construction in Canada May Be a Missed Opportunity
Following his participation on a panel at Bisnow’s DICE: Canada event, Member Jeffrey Moerdler was quoted in a Bisnow article discussing the growth potential for increased data center construction in Canada. The article discusses how certain Canadian markets could become submarkets of major American population centers like Chicago, Seattle, and the Northeast corridor.
Jeff says, “This diversification geographically presents opportunities to take a little piece of the demand from the Northern Virginias of the world, which will have a huge impact on places like Toronto and Vancouver. This is going to lead to growth in secondary and tertiary markets around North America, but I think it will particularly affect Canadian markets.”
