Mintz announced today that Amit Singh has joined as a Member of the Corporate Practice in the firm’s San Diego office. Amit is a transactional lawyer who leads venture capital, private equity, and technology transactions, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and joint venture deals. 

“Amit is well-connected within the San Diego business community and has been working alongside clients in high-growth areas for over twenty years,” said Bob Bodian, Mintz’s Managing Member. “He is a great addition to the firm as we continue to expand our West Coast footprint and nationally recognized Corporate Practice.”

Amit has a broad client base that spans companies and investors in a variety of industries, including life sciences, software, hardware, communications and networking, internet-based technology, manufacturing and distribution, and medical devices. He has extensive experience overseeing hundreds of complex transactions, particularly for IP-centric companies, on a range of corporate matters.

In addition to his practice, Amit frequently speaks and writes on issues involving start-ups, venture capital, and M&A. In 2025, he was recognized by Best Lawyers in America for his work involving mergers and acquisitions law and venture capital law.

Prior to joining Mintz Amit led the West Coast Corporate Practice at Dentons, where he partnered with clients on pivotal transactions, including domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions and venture capital transactions. He earned his LLM in corporate law from the New York University School of Law, his JD from UC Law San Francisco (formerly UC Hastings), and his BS from San Jose State University.

Amit’s arrival marks the seventh new Member to join Mintz in the past month, following the additions of Adam Banack, Geoffrey Cher, Daniel Cowan, Emily Y. Fan, Danielle Frappier, and Luis F. Torres.
