Mintz Member Marc Abrams has been elected to the AIDA Reinsurance and Insurance Arbitration Society (ARIAS) Board of Trustees. ARIAS U.S. is a nonprofit corporation dedicated to improving the insurance and reinsurance arbitration process for the international and domestic markets. Mr. Abrams’ term is effective immediately. 

Mr. Abrams has been involved in ARIAS for more than a decade. In his role on the Board, he will work with senior executives, other attorneys, and experienced arbitrators to enhance and improve the arbitration product. Mr. Abrams will take a larger role in the governance of the group, as well as helping to define the philosophical direction of the organization and the profession. He will continue to serve as the Co-Chair of the Education Committee as part of his commitment to the organization.

Mr. Abrams is an experienced litigator with two decades of experience guiding clients through complex insurance, reinsurance and general commercial dispute matters. He is equally skilled at representing clients in court and before US and international arbitration panels and has successfully taken more than twenty matters to trial and has resolved many more on favorable terms through dispositive motion practice. He has expertise recovering funds for his clients as well as defending them across a wide range of business products and he has resolved numerous disputes between and among policyholders, insurers, reinsurers, intermediaries and other sophisticated companies.
