Managing Member of Mintz’s Los Angeles office Joshua Briones has been named to the Daily Journal’s 2019 list of the Top 100 Lawyers in California. In addition, Mr. Briones was profiled in the publication’s September 18 issue.

Mr. Briones is an experienced trial lawyer with a robust national practice. He represents clients across a variety of industries including financial services, building products, retail, pharmaceuticals, automotive, professional sports, food and beverage, petroleum, chemical manufacturing, health care, high technology, and higher education, and has served as lead defense counsel on over 400 alleged class actions in state and federal courts across the country.

Mr. Briones has received numerous awards and national recognition for his innovative approach to high-stakes, bet-the-company litigation. Most recently, he was recognized by the Los Angeles Business Journal as one of the “Top Litigators & Trial Lawyers” in the region for 2019.

Notably, under Mr. Briones’ leadership, Mintz’s Los Angeles office has more than tripled in size and developed additional capabilities in specialty practice areas. Mr. Briones has also led the way in promoting the firm’s diversity initiative and its commitment to community service. In particular, he is responsible for initiating the Los Angeles office’s annual Women’s Event, which features insights from successful women in the law and is open to members of the Los Angeles legal and business communities.
