R.J. Lyman Joins as a Member in Boston

Mintz, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo, P.C. continues to grow its energy sector capabilities with the addition of R.J. Lyman, one of the country’s leading energy lawyers and the former President, Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel of General Compression, Inc. He joins the firm as a Member of the Energy Technology and Project Finance Practices, bringing an extensive background in corporate transactions and government and regulatory affairs.  Prior to General Compression, Mr. Lyman was an equity partner for over a decade at Goodwin Procter LLP, where he helped establish and lead its Clean Tech and Energy Practice.  He previously served as Assistant Environmental Secretary for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts under Governor William F. Weld.

Mr. Lyman deepens the firm’s capabilities in the energy sector with diverse expertise encompassing project finance and development; M&A transactions; intellectual property portfolio protection; equity & debt financing; regulatory policy; and corporate governance. He also has an extensive background working with venture capital and private equity firms in connection with emerging growth companies.
