Mintz represented the US Department of Energy (DoE) Loan Programs Office (LPO) in the closing of a $1.67 billion loan guarantee to Montana Renewables, LLC, the largest sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) producer in North America.

The loan guarantee will help Montana Renewables expand a renewable fuels facility in Great Falls, Montana, which will utilize vegetable oils, fats, and greases to produce SAF, renewable diesel, and renewable naphtha. More information about the Montana Renewables project is available here.
