Mintz Appoints Head of Innovation, AI, and E-Data Consulting

Mintz announces the appointment of John B. Koss as Head of Innovation, AI, and E-Data Consulting. Drawing on over 20 years of legal and technology experience, John will lead Mintz’s efforts in exploring how the firm can use AI and other emerging technologies to further advance client service and operational efficiency.

“John has led the firm’s E-Data Consulting Group delivering technology and legal expertise to our clients,” said Jason McCord, Mintz’s Chief Operating Officer. “He is a great choice to help us drive innovation and deploy AI and other technology to enhance service delivery to our clients.”

In his previous role as Managing Director of Mintz’s Chambers & Partners globally- and nationally-ranked E-Data Consulting Group, John counseled clients on information governance and the utilization of technology and artificial intelligence (AI) to manage large data matters.

“I’m proud to be part of a firm with such a longstanding commitment to innovation,” said John. “I look forward to working with our leadership team, practice management, and business professionals to identify and implement AI and other emerging technologies with applications that improve efficiency, accelerate productivity, and further differentiate the Mintz client experience while continuing to deliver cutting-edge client service through an expanded consulting practice.”

John received his JD from Boston University School of Law and holds an MBA, MS and BA from Northwestern University. Outside of the office, he lectures, speaks, and writes frequently on issues of legal data intelligence, information governance, and data privacy. He also teaches E-Data Law at Suffolk University Law School.
