Mintz Attorney Bret A. Cohen to Speak at 2015 East Coast eDiscovery & Information Governance Retreat
Bret A. Cohen, a Member of the Employment, Labor & Benefits Section and Co-chair of the Employee Mobility, Noncompetes & Trade Secrets Practice of Mintz, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo, P.C., will participate in a panel discussion at the 2015 East Coast eDiscovery & Information Governance Retreat presented by ING3NIOUS. The conference will take place November 8-9 at the Wequassett Resort and Golf Club in Harwich, Massachusetts.
Mr. Cohen’s panel is entitled, “Creating Order out of Chaos: Framing and Taming Data Discovery Challenges in Expedited Matters.” The panel of current and former in-house and outside counsel, technologists and federal prosecutors will share their insights gathered from the front lines running intense government investigations, rocket docket patent litigation, departing employee and theft of trade secret cases, HSR2 requests, and global FCPA and other rapid investigations.
The East Coast eDiscovery & Information Governance Retreat is an informative and interactive gathering of corporate executives, in-house lawyers, outside counsel, judges, thought leaders, subject matter experts and top-rated eDiscovery & information governance service and technology vendors. Sessions will examine the interaction between legal issues and information governance efforts, including the effect of litigation holds, pending litigation, regulatory requirements and fear of discovery sanctions.
Mr. Cohen’s practice includes representing employers in labor and employment litigation, including claims arising under FLSA, Title VII, ADA, ADEA, Mass. Gen. Laws ch. 151B, Massachusetts Wage Act, as well as state common law, breach of contract, wrongful termination, and defamation claims. He has extensive experience litigating non-competition and non-solicitation agreements and executive compensation agreements.
