Mintz Attorney C. Quincy Ewell Receives Alumni Diversity Award for Leadership in the Legal Profession from Pennsylvania State University Dickinson School of Law
C. Quincy Ewell, an attorney in the Corporate & Securities Section of Mintz, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo, P.C., received the Alumni Diversity Award for Leadership in the Legal Profession from the Pennsylvania State University Dickinson School of Law and the Student Bar Association’s Diversity Committee. Mr. Ewell is one of the first ever recipients of the award.
The award was presented at the inaugural Diversity Banquet and Awards Ceremony on April 6, 2013.
The Diversity Awards were created to honor members of the Penn State Law community who have contributed to the development of a campus community that is culturally diverse, inclusive, and equitable. Honorees have dedicated their time and service to making a positive impact in global society through their efforts to diversify the law school population and/or the legal profession. The Alumni Diversity Award for Leadership in the Legal Profession honors alumni who have demonstrated a commitment to Penn State Law's goal of being a diverse and mutually supportive community which provides a climate of sensitivity, open-mindedness, and respect.
Mr. Ewell focuses on corporate and transactional law. His practice includes a variety of transactional matters for for-profit and nonprofit clients. He routinely advises clients on corporate formation, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and general business counseling. Mr. Ewell has experience advising nonprofit clients on formation, charitable solicitation compliance, corporate governance and best practices, and obtaining tax-exempt status. His practice also includes counseling clients on various aspects of federal procurement law.
Mr. Ewell received his B.A., magna cum laude, from Howard University and his J.D. from the Dickinson School of Law at Pennsylvania State University, where he was a Comments Editor on the Penn State Law Review.
