Mintz Attorney Ellyn L. Sternfield to Speak at American Conference Institute's National Forum on Pharmaceutical Compliance and Enforcement
Ellyn L. Sternfield, Of Counsel in the Health Law Practice of Mintz, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky, and Popeo, P.C., will co-present a special workshop at the National Forum on Pharmaceutical Compliance and Enforcement presented by the American Conference Institute. The forum will take place on Friday, March 21 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Ms. Sternfield’s presentation is entitled, “Multi-State Survey — Adjusting Compliance Programs from Standard Models in order to Meet Varied State Guidelines.” During this interactive session, Ms. Sternfield will examine the varying landscape of state laws and the impact on compliance programs.
Ms. Sternfield has more than 30 years of legal experience, with an extensive background in the field of government health care enforcement. Her experience enables her to provide valuable insight to clients facing potential state or federal investigations, or who have general compliance concerns. Ms. Sternfield currently represents a variety of health care product and service providers in federal and state administrative, civil, and criminal matters around the country. She conducts internal reviews and investigations for clients concerned about potential compliance issues. Ms. Sternfield advises clients on proposed or existing health care business arrangements, especially those involving Medicaid, Medicare, and the 340B Drug Pricing Program. She drafts compliance plans to help insulate clients from future whistleblower claims or enforcement efforts. Ms. Sternfield helps negotiate resolutions of matters brought under federal or state false claims acts.
