Jeffrey R. Porter, Chair of the Environmental Law Practice of Mintz, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo, P.C., has been elected to Boston Harbor Now’s Board of Trustees. 

Boston Harbor Now is the largest and most comprehensive nonprofit dedicated to the preservation and improvement of Boston’s waterfront, harbor, and islands. As a Trustee, Mr. Porter will bring his three decades of experience at the intersection of law, business, and the environment to bear to protect and promote these Boston treasures.

Mr. Porter has been recognized as one of the nation’s best environmental lawyers by Best Lawyers in America, Chambers USA, the Guide to the World’s Leading Environmental Lawyers, and several other publications. He is a Fellow of the American College of Environmental Lawyers. 

Mr. Porter also serves as a Trustee of the Massachusetts Environmental Trust, a position to which he was appointed by the Massachusetts Energy and Environmental Affairs Secretary. He previously served as a Board member and officer of the Boston Harbor Island Alliance, the predecessor of Boston Harbor Now, for over a decade.
