Mintz Attorney Kanasha Herbert Named “Up & Coming Lawyer” by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly
Kanasha S. Herbert, an attorney in the Corporate & Securities Practice of Mintz, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo, P.C., has been selected as an “Up & Coming Lawyer” by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly and the Massachusetts Bar Association as part of their annual “Excellence in the Law” event, which honors the “very best in the legal profession.”
Ms. Herbert is one of only 25 attorneys selected as an “Up & Coming Lawyer.” To qualify, attorneys must be members of the bar for 10 years or less, have distinguished themselves in practice and the community, and “appear poised for even greater accomplishments.” Ms. Herbert will be recognized at the “Excellence in the Law” event on May 1, 2014.
Ms. Herbert’s practice includes working with public companies and early-stage companies in matters such as corporate governance, securities offerings and reporting compliance and mergers and acquisitions. For public companies, including medical device manufacturers, hardware manufacturers, and pharmaceutical companies, Ms. Herbert has served as ongoing general counsel on issues related to initial and follow-on public offerings and compliance with federal and state securities laws and securities exchange listing standards representing both companies and underwriters. For early-stage companies, mostly in the high technology, life sciences, energy and clean technology industries, she has provided counsel on formation and corporate governance and has represented both companies and venture capital investors in venture capital financing transactions and other private placements.
