Mintz Attorney Marty B. Lorenzo Named 2012-2013 Rainmaker by Minority Corporate Counsel Association

Marty B. Lorenzo, a Member of the Corporate & Securities Section of Mintz, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky & Popeo, P.C., has been named a 2012-2013 Rainmaker by the Minority Corporate Counsel Association (MCCA). One of just seventeen honorees, Mr. Lorenzo was profiled in the November/December issue of MCCA's Diversity & The Bar magazine.
The 2012-2013 Rainmakers were selected based on nominations from leading firms nationwide. The annual listing recognizes minority attorneys throughout the United States who have achieved success through innovative business development and dedication to client service. Each Rainmaker maintains a regular book of business reaching or exceeding $2 million a year.
Mr. Lorenzo has over 15 years of experience in business and corporate and securities law and his clients value his judgment and leadership experience gained from over 24 years in the Marine Corps. He advises clients on a wide variety of matters from strategic transactions to general business strategy. Mr. Lorenzo regularly acts as outside general counsel to companies in all stages of development and across various industries. He represents clients in a broad variety of industries, including media, government contracting, telecommunications, software, information technology, semiconductors, life sciences, health care services, retail, hospitality and clean technology.
In 2011, The Daily Transcript named Mr. Lorenzo to its list of San Diego County Top Attorneys in recognition of his corporate transactional practice. In 2010, he received the San Diego County Bar Association’s Service to Diversity Award. The Filipino American Lawyers of San Diego and the Pan Asian Lawyers of San Diego have honored him with the Distinguished Service Award.
Mr. Lorenzo earned his B.A. and J.D. from the University of San Diego.
