Megan N. Gates, Co-chair of the Securities Practice of Mintz, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo, P.C., will participate in a panel discussion on IPO preparedness on September 17 in Boston, Massachusetts.

The panel coincides with the 6th Annual BioPharm America program. The international biotech industry partnering conference is being held September 17-19 in Boston.

Ms. Gates’ session is entitled, “IPO Preparedness Panel for Senior Management and Board Members of Emerging Growth Companies.” The panel will review issues that should be considered by companies before commencing the process of going public and detail a variety of topics for senior management and board members considering a public company pathway.

Ms. Gates concentrates her practice on providing counsel to public companies with respect to compliance obligations under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, in connection with public and private financings, and on merger and acquisition transactions. She frequently advises clients on corporate governance matters, including compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002. Ms. Gates also has extensive experience with tender offers, exchange offers, and going-private transactions.
