Mintz Attorney Patricia A. Moran to Speak at CPAmerica 2014 Tax Conference
Patricia A. Moran, Of Counsel in the Employment, Labor & Benefits Section of Mintz, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo, P.C., is presenting at CPAmerica’s 2014 Tax Conference. The conference will take place November 10-12 at La Concha Resort in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Ms. Moran’s session is entitled, “Employer Responsibilities under Health Care Reform: 2015 Checklist.”
CPAmerica is an association of independently owned and managed CPA and consulting firms. The 2014 Tax Conference will provide an update for firm tax managers and partners on latest tax regulations and best practices in tax practice management.
Ms. Moran counsels clients on a variety of employee benefits and compensation matters. Notably, she represents clients in a broad variety of health and welfare plan matters, including the Affordable Care Act’s employer and insurance mandates, Massachusetts' health care reform requirements and insurance mandates, COBRA, HIPAA, wellness, and mental health parity. Ms. Moran has represented clients in multiple audits and examinations initiated by government agencies with respect to health and welfare plan matters, including the Massachusetts Department of Unemployment Assistance (relating to Massachusetts health care reform). She works with clients in a variety of sectors, including staffing, home health, restaurant, hospitality, consulting, finance, technology and education.
