Mintz Attorney Paul H. Dickerson to Speak at 40th Annual Interarab Cambist Association Conference
Paul H. Dickerson, former Chief Operating Officer at the US Department of Energy and current attorney with Mintz, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo, P.C., is speaking at the 40th Annual Interarab Cambist Association (ICA) Conference. The conference will take place October 22-24 at the JW Marriot in Cairo, Egypt.
Mr. Dickerson’s session is entitled, “What Does the Future Hold for Global Energy?”
Founded in Beirut, Lebanon in 1972 the ICA is a non-lucrative professional association for members from 14 North African and Middle Eastern countries. Members are engaged in financial trading and sales representing foreign exchange, interest rate products, equities, commodities among others. The 2015 Conference will bring together regional and international speakers to share insights on the state of the global economy.
Mr. Dickerson is a recognized leader and sought-after speaker on all matters related to energy. His work in energy includes having served as the Chief Operating Officer for the US Department of Energy's Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE). While overseeing the EERE's $2 billion budget, he managed the international commercialization of advanced energy solutions like biofuels, solar, wind, and efficiency technologies. He also served as Chief of Staff for the United States and Foreign Commercial Service at the US Department of Commerce. While at the Commerce Department, Mr. Dickerson was responsible for day-to-day management of the Commercial Service's worldwide network of 1,700 employees in 260 offices and for directing the implementation of the Commercial Service's worldwide priorities and policies.
