Russell H. Fox, a Member of the Communications Section of Mintz, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo, P.C., is speaking at the International Municipal Signal Association’s (IMSA) 119th Annual Conference and 37th Annual School. The conference will take place July 26-29 in Schaumburg, IL.

Mr. Fox’s presentation entitled, “Federal Communications Commission Public Safety Update,” will provide an overview of the FCC’s role in public safety communications, current issues before the commission, and issues of interest to public safety in 2014.

IMSA provides quality certification programs for the safe installation, operation, and maintenance of public safety systems; delivering value for members by providing the latest information and education in the industry. Presenters at the annual conference will provide timely and relevant information on the latest technologies.

Mr. Fox has extensive experience evaluating wireless telecommunications opportunities, structuring transactions involving the purchase, financing, or sale of wireless telecommunications systems, handling regulatory and legislative matters before federal and state authorities, and dealing with licensing matters before the Federal Communications Commission.  He has assisted clients that have successfully participated in spectrum auctions conducted by the Federal Communications Commission and has secured regulatory approvals necessary for clients to offer new telecommunications services and products.
