Mintz Attorneys Randy K. Jones and Jacquelyn Burke to Present Webinar on Impact of Yates Memo on Directors and Officers
Randy K. Jones, a Partner and Member of the Litigation Practice Group of Mintz, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo, P.C., and Jacquelyn Burke, Litigation Practice Group Associate, will be participate in an upcoming webinar entitled, "D&O Indemnification, Fee Advancement and Insurance After Yates Memo on Individual Accountability for Corporate Misconduct." The webinar is taking place on Wednesday, March 2.
Mr. Jones and Ms. Burke, along with their co-presenters Michael J. Biles, Partner, King & Spaulding, and Scott P. DeVries, Partner, Winston & Strawn, will examine the implications of the DOJ’s recent Yates Memo for director and officer (D&O) indemnification, fee advancement provisions, and D&O insurance policies. Panelists will provide guidance to corporate counsel for drafting and/or updating corporate bylaws and other governance documents, stand-alone agreements, and D&O insurance policies to ensure their provisions on indemnification and advancement of legal fees provide adequate protection to directors and officers in the event of a DOJ enforcement action.
Mr. Jones specializes in a wide range of complex commercial and criminal litigation, with an emphasis on high stakes business disputes, internal and government investigations, compliance, and white collar defense matters requiring top-caliber trial counsel. Prior to joining Mintz, Mr. Jones served in the United States Department of Justice (DOJ) as an Assistant US Attorney for more than 28 years.
Ms. Burke focuses her practice on complex insurance claims and coverage in directors and officers, professional liability, and general liability areas, among others. She is experienced in advising clients regarding placement of coverage, availability of coverage, and litigating coverage issues for a diverse array of claims.
