Mintz Continues Strategic West Coast Growth with Addition of Five Attorneys
Firm Adds Associates to San Francisco and San Diego Offices
Mintz, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo, P.C has announced the addition of five attorneys to its California offices, continuing the expansion of the firm’s West Coast presence. Vipul Kumar, Mina Nasseri and Dominique L. Windberg have joined the firm’s San Francisco office and Thomas Jackman and Jenna M. Shaffer have joined the San Diego office.
Mr. Kumar joins as an associate in the firm’s Corporate & Securities Section. He has provided counsel on corporate matters such as multi-billion dollar acquisitions and divestitures, merger agreements and stock and asset purchase agreements, and periodic and deal-specific SEC filings. Prior to joining Mintz, Mr. Kumar was an associate at Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP. He received his BA from the University of California – Berkeley and his JD, cum laude, from Northwestern University.
Ms. Nasseri joins as an associate in the firm’s Litigation Section. Her practice focuses on merger control, antitrust and competition, cartel investigations, and contract litigation matters. She is experienced in industries such as life sciences and information technology, and has advised clients both in the US and abroad. Ms. Nasseri was formerly an associate at Latham & Watkins LLP. She earned her BA from the University of California – Berkeley and her JD from Columbia University.
Ms. Windberg joins as an associate in the firm’s Litigation Section. Her experience includes patent and trade secret cases, structured finance matters, government investigations, and discovery in patent and white collar cases, especially False Claims Act matters. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Windberg was an associate at Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan LLP. She received her BA from the University of California – Davis and her JD from New York University School of Law.
Mr. Jackman joins as an associate in the firm’s Intellectual Property Section. His practice within intellectual property is focused on patent litigation. Mr. Jackman has represented clients regarding pharmaceutical, electrical, and computer-related matters, both on the plaintiff side and the defendant side. He is also experienced in general commercial, breach of contract, and white collar litigation. Prior to joining Mintz, Mr. Jackman was an associate at Irell & Manella LLP. He earned his BS from Brigham Young University and his JD from the University of California - Los Angeles.
Ms. Shaffer joins as an associate in the firm’s Corporate & Securities Section. She applies her background in SEC compliance, pharmaceuticals and e-commerce to her practice in corporate and securities law. Before joining the firm, Ms. Shaffer served as Junior Corporate Counsel for Innovus Pharmaceuticals. She received her BA from the University of Redlands and her JD from the University of San Diego.
