Mintz to Enter Miami Market
Mintz announced today that it will be opening a Miami office in 2023. The office will be led by Jim Ball, who joined the firm as a Member of its Corporate Practice in the New York office, effective January 3.
Mintz’s new Miami office—its first in Florida and 7th in the U.S.—follows seven consecutive years of record-breaking revenue and profit, and furthers the firm’s growth in areas fueling innovation, including private equity, financial services, life sciences, health care, technology, and energy and sustainability. The firm intends to build the team in Miami with both the relocation of Mintz attorneys as well the addition of sophisticated, strategic laterals.
“We’ve had our eye on the Miami market for a while,” said Mintz Managing Member Bob Bodian. “Our presence in Miami will enhance our ability to serve many valued clients and forge new relationships as we establish a strong presence in this important and growing market.”
Mr. Bodian continued, “Jim is a very talented capital markets and corporate attorney with strong ties to Miami. He is a natural leader with an entrepreneurial spirit, making him the perfect choice to help Mintz expand into this market. We have received extremely positive input from clients and potential clients since the word got out informally that we were doing this, and I am very excited to see Mintz build in Miami.”
