Mintz Member Emily Kanstroom Musgrave Selected to the Women’s Bar Association’s 2020 Women’s Leadership Initiative
Mintz is pleased to share that Member Emily Kanstroom Musgrave has been selected to participate in the Women’s Bar Association of Massachusetts’ 2020 Women’s Leadership Initiative, a program that brings together senior women attorneys and up-and-coming stars of the legal profession for leadership development and mentoring.
Ms. Musgrave is among 22 women chosen from a record number of applicants. The 2020 Class includes women practicing in firms, government, and in-house, touching a wide variety of sectors/industries including the criminal justice system, higher education, legal services, and the financial services and biotechnology industries. Notably, Mintz Member and Chair of the firm’s Pro Bono Committee Susan Finegan will serve as a mentor for the 2020 Class.
Launched in 2009, the year-long program, provides participants with large-scale networking, group mentoring, and one-on-one career development opportunities designed to cultivate the next generation of women leaders.
Ms. Musgrave focuses her practice on complex commercial litigation across a variety of areas, including contract disputes, securities litigation and government investigations. As Co-Chair of the firm’s Appellate Practice Group, she leads clients through the appellate process, designing a successful appellate strategy, drafting briefs, and preparing for oral argument. She also assists clients with amicus curiae submissions, including to the U.S. Supreme Court.
In addition to her litigation and appeals work, Ms. Musgrave maintains an active pro bono practice focused on providing legal assistance to asylum seekers and survivors of domestic violence, among other individuals in need.
