Mintz Member Joshua Briones has been named to the Los Angeles Business Journal’s 2020 LA 500 list, which recognizes the 500 most influential business leaders in the region. The recognition was featured in the Los Angeles Business Journal’s signature issue, published on May 25.

As Managing Member of the Los Angeles office, Mr. Briones is an experienced trial lawyer with a robust national practice. He represents clients across a variety of industries including financial services, building products, retail, pharmaceuticals, automotive, professional sports, food and beverage, petroleum, chemical manufacturing, health care, high technology, and higher education, and has served as lead defense counsel on over 400 alleged class actions in state and federal courts across the country.

Notably, under Mr. Briones’ leadership, Mintz’s Los Angeles office has more than tripled in size and developed additional capabilities in specialty practice areas. Mr. Briones has also led the way in promoting the firm’s diversity initiative and its commitment to community service out of the Los Angeles office.

The honorees were selected by the editorial staff based on comprehensive research over the course of four months on a variety of contributions to the Los Angeles region including to industry, professional success and overall community involvement. A notable achievement for Mr. Briones as the legal chapter comprises only 8 percent of the entire list of honorees.
