Poonam Patidar, a Member in the Public Finance Practice of Mintz, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo, P.C.  was recognized as a 2016 Rising Star by The Bond Buyer.

The Bond Buyer’s Rising Stars list recognizes the brightest young minds in the municipal finance industry. These individuals have demonstrated leadership skills, a passion for innovation and creativity, and a commitment to their communities. Out of 225 nominations, The Bond Buyer chose 24 individuals to receive the award.

Ms. Patidar serves as bond counsel, disclosure counsel, underwriter’s counsel, borrower’s counsel, and bank counsel in connection with the issuance of tax-exempt and taxable financings related to transportation, higher education, health care, economic development, project finance, water, and wastewater. In addition, she represents institutional investors, bond insurers, and indenture trustees in workouts, restructurings, capital recoveries and bankruptcies in numerous sectors, including senior living, health care, multi-family housing, assessment districts, charter schools, and hospitality facilities. Since 2014, she has been recognized by Chambers USA for her work in public finance. She was also named a Rising Star by Massachusetts Super Lawyers from 2009-2012. In addition to her work at the firm, Ms. Patidar currently serves as a Board Member for Boston Women in Public Finance and for the Asian Task Force Against Domestic Violence.

Ms. Patidar was honored at The Bond Buyer’s California Public Finance Conference on September 20 at the JW Marriott in Los Angeles, CA.
