Mintz Member Scott Stanton Honored as Among the San Diego Business Journal’s 2019 Leaders in Law
Mintz Member Scott M. Stanton was named to the San Diego Business Journal’s 2019 list of “Leaders in Law” for his outstanding work in mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Stanton was profiled alongside other award winners in a special supplement published by the San Diego Business Journal on November 4. He was also honored at the publication’s “Leaders in Law” event held on October 24, which brought together more than 200 people, including San Diego’s best legal minds and their associates.
Mr. Stanton has deep experience in mergers and acquisitions, securities offerings, corporate governance, and general corporate matters. He represents companies, boards of directors, and board committees in technology, life sciences, and other sectors. Notably, Mr. Stanton had standout years in 2018 and 2019, advising on a number of significant transactions, including for San Diego-based companies Classy, Inc., AMN Healthcare and Human Longevity, Inc.
Outside of his practice at Mintz, Mr. Stanton serves on the La Jolla Playhouse’s Board of Trustees as Treasurer and a member of the Executive Committee. He is also the Chair of the Corporate Directors Forum, a San Diego-based nonprofit organization that is the largest regional association of corporate directors in the United States and offers regular, interactive education programs for directors, officers and business leaders.
Separately, Mr. Stanton was recently selected to Diligent’s inaugural Modern Governance 100 list, which recognizes hardworking governance professionals globally who are driving real change across their organizations. He was the only law firm partner in the United States to receive recognition.
