This special issue focuses on showcasing visionaries, leaders and advocates within the legal profession who are widely recognized for their professionalism, protection of rights and community service.

Mr. Thomas advises on employment, executive compensation and workplace investigations for clients ranging from international corporations to non-profit institutions. With a significant client base in the education sector, he counsels boards and senior executives on employment matters, governance issues, and IRS regulations governing executive compensation. In general employment matters, he advises companies on reductions in force, allegations of discrimination and EEO requirements for federal contractors.

Additionally, Mr. Thomas has become a leading attorney on complex legal issues in athletics and is nationally recognized for his experience in the sports industry. In intercollegiate athletic matters, his experience includes NCAA enforcement investigations and infraction appeals. He advises on employment contracts and policies for athletics personnel. In professional sports matters, he has advised teams on league compliance issues and other legal matters.

In addition to his legal practice, Mr. Thomas is Chair of the Mintz Diversity Committee. In this role, he leads the firm’s initiatives promoting diversity in the legal profession.
