Mintz Members Honored by Los Angeles Business Journal’s 2021 Minority Leaders of Influence: Attorneys
Mintz is pleased to announce that Managing Member of the firm’s Los Angeles Office Joshua Briones and Member Ralph A. Campillo have been named to the Los Angeles Business Journal’s 2021 Minority Leaders of Influence: Attorneys list in recognition of their significant contributions to the Los Angeles business and legal community at large. Both attorneys were profiled in the Los Angeles Business Journal's special edition published on January 25.
Mr. Briones is an experienced trial lawyer with a robust national practice. He represents clients across a variety of industries including financial services, building products, retail, pharmaceuticals, automotive, professional sports, food and beverage, petroleum, chemical manufacturing, health care, high technology, and higher education, and has served as lead defense counsel on over 400 alleged class actions in state and federal courts across the country. Under Mr. Briones’ leadership, Mintz’s Los Angeles office has grown sevenfold and developed additional capabilities in specialty practice areas. Mr. Briones has also led the way in promoting the firm’s diversity initiative and its commitment to community service out of the Los Angeles office. Mr. Campillo is a nationally renowned trial attorney with more than four decades of experience representing life sciences, pharmaceutical, medical device, and manufacturing companies in mass torts and all forms of complex litigation, including product liability, commercial disputes, and class actions. He is a sought-after speaker and presenter on trial techniques, discovery strategies, protective orders, and other cutting-edge issues in pharmaceutical and medical device law. In his Minority Leaders of Influence profile, the Los Angeles Business Journal highlighted Mr. Campillo’s Cuban background and pursuit of the American dream. With regards to his legal practice, the publication noted: “since his arrival [at Mintz], he has shaped the Product Liability Practice into a powerhouse team serving Mintz’s deep roster of sophisticated clients.”
