Mintz named a 2023 “Massachusetts Powerhouse” by Law360

Mintz was named a “Massachusetts Powerhouse” in Law360’s 2023 Regional Powerhouse ranking, which recognizes law firms that have excelled in “a number of different fields…in the courtroom and in guiding massive deals” amid an uncertain world.

The firm was selected for the rapid growth of its IP Practice which had several big wins during the past year including a $150 million settlement with Samsung for client Nanoco Technologies Ltd., which marks one of the top five jury verdicts in patent litigation history.

Law360 recognized the Corporate Practice’s success advising on a $1.45 billion deal for NET Power LLC, a clean energy tech company, with Rice Acquisition Corp II, as well as representing Nuvve Corp. in a $750 million joint venture with Stonepeak Infrastructure Partners in a vehicle charging business, among other significant deals.

Mintz was also recognized for continuing to invest in high-caliber talent, improve representation among attorneys of color, LGBTQ+ orientation, and women through recruiting and promotion efforts, and for its dedication to giving back to the community through pro bono service and other philanthropic initiatives. Law360 specifically highlighted Mintz’s work with the Massachusetts branch of the American Civil Liberties Union on a class action representing immigrants being detained by US Immigration and Customs Enforcement, successfully challenging how bond or bail hearings were being conducted.
