Mintz is Official Gold Sponsor of MIT 100K Entrepreneurship Competition
Mintz, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo, P.C. has been named an official gold sponsor of the MIT 100K Entrepreneurship Competition. The Pitch Finals round of the competition will be held on November 1 at MIT in Cambridge, MA.
The MIT $100K Entrepreneurship Competition is a launch pad for students and researchers in the MIT community to act on their talent, ideas and energy to produce tomorrow’s leading firms. The year-long competition has awarded hundreds of thousands of dollars in prizes to outstanding teams of student entrepreneurs who submitted business plans for new ventures showing significant business potential.
The Pitch round is the first of three phases of the year-long MIT $100K Entrepreneurship Competition. The event will showcase 20 fast paced and high energy elevator pitches from the top ideas at MIT.
Garrett M. Winslow, Member of the Corporate and Securities Practice, and John P. Condon, Attorney in the Corporate and Securities Practice, will serve as mentors to two teams throughout this year’s competition.

Mr. Winslow’s practice focuses on corporate and securities law matters, with particular emphasis on biotechnology, pharmaceutical and life sciences companies. Issuers, investors and investment banks rely on his advice in structuring, preparing and completing IPOs, alternative public offerings, reverse merger transactions, public offerings, at-the-market offerings and registered direct offerings, as well as PIPEs and other private placements. Mr. Winslow also advises investors and entrepreneurs of emerging private companies on corporate governance matters and capital raising efforts.
Mr. Condon’s practice focuses on securities, venture capital, and debt financing transactions and general corporate law. He represents companies in a range of industries, including life sciences, medical devices, clean technology, and health care. His transactional experience includes representing companies in public offerings of equity and convertible debt, venture capital financings, debt transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and asset purchase transactions.
