Dawn Saunders of the firm’s Real Estate Section to Speak

Dawn Saunders, a Member of the Real Estate Section of Mintz, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo, P.C., will participate in a panel discussion entitled, “Real Estate Leasing in a Recovering Market & Legal Issues in Real Property Leases.” The seminar, presented in partnership with commercial real estate company Hughes Marino, will take place on Wednesday, December 3 at Mintz San Diego office. 

Panelists will explore the current trends in the San Diego County real estate market as well as cover how to identify and address common legal issues in leasing transactions in order to save money not only on rent, but also on operating and property tax expenses. They will discuss common issues arising with audits of operating expenses and identify commonly negotiated legal provisions. Ms. Saunders will be joined by Scot Ginsburg and Ed Muna, Senior Vice Presidents at Hughes Marino.

Ms. Saunders’ experience is focused on commercial leasing and purchase and sale transactions. Her client base includes large institutional landlords as well as a full range of real estate users, primarily in the life sciences and technology sectors. Ms. Saunders’ leasing practice encompasses retail and industrial/R&D leasing in addition to office and lab space. She also regularly advises clients on the real estate implications of mergers, acquisitions, or related corporate financing and restructuring.
