Mintz Receives Gold Standard Certification From Women in Law Empowerment Forum
Mintz, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo, P.C. has earned Gold Standard Certification from the Women in Law Empowerment Forum (WILEF), a designation based on the role of women in the governance of law firms and how they are integrated in top leadership positions. Mintz is one of only 50 firms to receive the certification from WILEF in 2015.
“We are thrilled to be recognized by WILEF as a Gold Standard Firm,” said Tyrone P. Thomas, Chair of Mintz’s Diversity Committee and a Member of the firm’s Employment, Labor and Benefits Section. “At Mintz, we value the contributions of our women attorneys and are committed to fostering an environment in which they are recognized as strategic leaders, are compensated appropriately for their expertise and have the opportunity to reach the highest levels of firm leadership.”
Firms with over 300 attorneys were invited to submit data to earn WILEF’s Gold Standard Certification. Those selected for certification were chosen based on the extent to which the firm has successfully demonstrated that women represent a meaningful percentage of their equity partners, of their highest leadership positions, of their governance and compensation committees, and of their most highly compensated partners.
Founded in 1997, WILEF is dedicated to assisting women in law to assume leadership roles within the NLJ 250 and Fortune 1000 legal departments and within their respective communities. WILEF presents cutting edge programming that provides an educational and networking forum for women in law.
