Mintz received two awards at LMG’s 2024 “Life Sciences Americas Awards” which recognize the region’s “most distinguished practitioners and their firms for their exemplary work in the Life Sciences legal practice over the past twelve months.”

The firm won the “Impact Deal of the Year” for its role advising on a joint venture between ITM Isotope Technologies Munich SE (ITM) and Canadian Nuclear Laboratories (CNL), which manages the national laboratory in Ontario on behalf of Atomic Energy of Canada Limited (AECL). The joint venture company, Actineer Inc., was launched for the industrial-scale production of Actinium-225, a rare alpha-emitting medical radioisotope with significant potential to fight cancer. The deal team included Partners Cheryl Reicin, Matthew Atkey, and Associate Adam Falconi.

Associate Adam Falconi was also recognized as a “Canada Rising Star.” Adam focuses his practice on corporate law, financing, and technology transactions in the life sciences and health technology industries. His clients include a wide range of life science and health care companies, as well as venture capital and private equity funds. Adam has a specific focus on strategic partnering and commercialization for pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device companies. He frequently advises on complex licensing, strategic collaborations, venture capital, mergers and acquisitions, and intellectual property transactions and helps his clients develop, scale, and commercialize their technologies in Canada, the United States, and other countries around the world.
