Mintz Welcomes Corporate Member Alex S. Kaufman

Alex S. Kaufman has joined Mintz as a Member of the Corporate Practice, with a focus on middle-market private equity, strategic mergers and acquisitions (M&A), growth equity, and venture capital. He will split his time between the firm’s San Francisco and San Diego offices.

Alex’s clients include technology-focused buyout and growth equity funds, as well as startups and emerging growth companies for whom he acts in an outside general counsel capacity.

“Alex has impressive M&A and middle market private equity experience with established connections to the Bay Area and Silicon Valley business communities,” said Steve Osborn, Managing Member of Mintz’s San Francisco office. “His arrival is a welcome addition to Mintz’s market-leading Corporate Practice and our growing west coast presence.”

In addition to his focus on software and technology, Alex has led transactions in a variety of other industries, including real estate, hospitality, food and beverage, media, shipbuilding, manufacturing, and professional services.

Prior to joining Mintz, Alex was a partner in the Global Private Equity Practice at Paul Hastings. He graduated with honors from the Emory University School of Law and earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania. 

Alex is the eighth new Member to join Mintz in the past month, following the recent announcements of Adam BanackGeoffrey CherDaniel CowanEmily Y. FanDanielle Frappier, Amit Singh, and Luis F. Torres.
