Mintz's Alec Zadek Honored with 2018 Adams Pro Bono Publico Award
Mintz is pleased to announce that Alec Zadek has been named one of the 2018 Adams Pro Bono Publico Award recipients by the Supreme Judicial Court’s Standing Committee on Pro Bono Legal Services.
According to the SJC, Alec is being recognized “for his many years of ground-breaking pro bono work on behalf of victims of sex trafficking and domestic violence, including his leadership in developing and successfully advocating for passage of legislation that streamlines the process for sex trafficking victims to vacate their related convictions for prostitution or drug possession.”

Alec, a Member in the firm’s Litigation Section, has worked on more than twenty pro bono matters – almost exclusively representing domestic violence and sex trafficking survivors – for a total exceeding 1,025 hours. Alec’s practice focuses on advising directors, officers, members, managers, and shareholders of closely-held businesses regarding their fiduciary duties, corporate governance, and indemnification rights and responsibilities. Alec also focuses his practice on representing primary and excess insurers with respect to complex coverage disputes arising under directors and officers, representations and warranties, professional liability, and general liability policies.
